Barlings Beach

Barlings Beach dive site is suited to all levels of diver and is good for photography. It provides shallow rock channels and gutters and is dominated by a small Island. It is known for the many species of pelagic fish that swim through the site. It is best dived on NE swell and parking can be an issue in summer


  • Barlings Beach is approximately 22km south of Batemans Bay
  • Head south from Bateman’s Bay along the Princes Highway until you reach Mogo (~10km)
  • Turn left onto Tomakin Road
  • Follow Tomakin Road until it terminates at a T-intersection on George Bass Drive
  • Turn left and follow the road for about 2km
  • The turn off for Barlings Beach is just after the Barlings Beach Caravan Park
  • The alternative route is to follow Beach Road out of Batemans Bay, which turns into George Bass Drive past the Guerilla Bay turn off
  • As you head down the hill the turn left just before the Barlings Beach Caravan Park
